Hi Dr.cathrine Before anything i Congratulations you for new year of christians ; If you remeber i had asked a question 2 or 3 month ago titeled "intrest to fasten pull up" and you offerd me to say this to a phsychlogist but ididnt and solved my problem by my self. I remeber it was 6 or 7 years ago that a Documentary which sayed when you think about anything good or bad you absorb it if you want or not in the other words it is Universe that respond you. Yes it is two week that i started to wet my bed but now idont like it to continue so i went to a specialist (in our country we dont have family docter) and he orderd a examination but the result didnt arrive up to now.i think it is mental but everything is possible. my question is that should i start set alarms or wait for it to end. accept my apologize for some possible mistakes. mahmood, iran.

Dear Mahmood, it is lovely to hear from you again and a happy new year to you too! Yes positive thinking can be a very powerful thing; unfortunately for some individuals a strong desire to become dry at night does not necessarily translate into a physical reaction. Regardless of the cause of your bedwetting the best form of treatment currently available is the conditioning alarm. In Australia these can be either purchased or hired if cost is an issue, you will need to check whether this option is available in your country. Bedwetting alarms work by setting off an alarm when you start to wet, waking you up so that you get up and go to the toilet. Over a period of time this conditions your body and you learn to wake without the need for the alarm. It is not unusual for the alarm not to work at first and may take up to 6 months of constant use. Success depends on the amount of support you receive, so it is really important that you discuss this with your specialist first. I wish you all the very best. Regards, Dr Cathrine
